The Mad Dog Scientist, one of BARC The Dog's recurring characters, lets loose his last experiment, BARCzilla! Bursting out of the planetarium, BARCzilla is ready to take on the world. When BARC The Dog was asked whether he would be interested in participating in this collaboration he immediately accepted and asked if he could draw on the Liberty Science Center Planetarium. Born and raised in Jersey City, he grew up visiting The Liberty Science Center on school field trips as a child, and over the years it has become a legendary place for him. He even did an illustration of the same character bursting out of the dome just a few months prior to this project, so he was eager to choose this site to "fulfill the prophecy." BARC The Dog is the creative alter-ego of Filipino multi-media artist Alexander Lansang. Using the persona of a cartoon dog, BARC The Dog weaves compelling visual narratives that transcend traditional boundaries.
